You're weighed, strapped into a harness and your personal items are zipped into a bag that's easily attached to your harness.

Next, you'll ride an open-air, cage-like elevator up to the zip line platform. On the launch platform, ride attendants help attach you to one of the four separate zip lines, in front of a gate. The gate opens and you walk down a short set of stairs until your feet are dangling and your stomach dropping in the air above a platform.

Soon you'll zip flawlessly through the air and underneath the Viva Vision canopy even better at night. A quick feet later you are slowed by a braking system and land on a platform toward the center of the Fremont Street Experience.

Almost immediately we began zooming through the air over the center of the Fremont Street Experience. Speeding down the zoomline, watching the people below, and taking in the neon lights and old Vegas signs was an incredible experience! I am so happy I got to share it with Natalie and close friends, and that we did our Las Vegas zipline at night and not during the day! After we got our photos to commemorate the experience, we ducked in a store to grab some Gatorades and head back to our hotel.

Natalie and I finally got to bed at am… just in time to grab a few hours of sleep before heading to the airport to go home. The attraction sits atop the 1,foot meter Stratosphere Tower, the tallest freestanding observation tower in the United States. The hotel has rooms and suites. The Stratosphere has a single cable that can hold up to 16 riders at one time while the dual cable Fremont Street attraction holds up to 40 people.

For this reason it is generally agreed among Las Vegas locals that the Fremont Street Experience is the better of the two.

The Stratosphere zipline has age restrictions starting at 4 years old up to age 64, making it much more family friendly than the Fremont Street Experience. There is discounts for hotel guests. The Fremont Street Experience has a much shorter ride at only feet meters. The Stratosphere zipline has had some serious safety complaints. The Fremont Street Experience is only feet meters. The Fremont Street Experience is therefore the slower of the two.

The Fremont Street Experience is much shorter, but it is also faster. Fremont Street Experience tickets are available for purchase at many of the hotels along Fremont Street. The Stratosphere zipline has a height requirement of at least 54 inches cm while the Fremont Street Experience requires riders be at least 48 inches cm. The average wait time of both ziplines in Las Vegas is under 5 minutes. This varies greatly though and can be as long as an hour if the zipline is very popular.

Even though both ziplines are cable driven, the Stratosphere zipline requires participants to be able to pull themselves along using hand bars and foot pedals that control speed and direction. The Fremont Street Experience only requires riders to hold onto a side grip with their hands at all times.
